Denmark is small, friendly and surprisingly varied. The dunes of the west coast, Jutland's surf beaches, the castles of Funen and Copenhagen's cycling culture all fit into a week's trip.
Denmark by motorhome is seamless — a bridge from Sweden, good roads, a comprehensive campsite network and hygge in every village. In summer, the west-coast towns of Blokhus, Klitmøller and Henne Strand draw surfers from across Europe, and at the northern tip Grenen is where two seas meet.
Copenhagen — cycle, don't drive
In central Copenhagen a car is a hindrance. Stay at Bellahøj Camping (5 km from the centre) or Absalon and switch to a bike. Tivoli, Nyhavn, Christiania and the Refshaleøen food stalls can all be done in a day.

How to make the most of your trip to Denmark

- Overnighting outside campsites is banned in Denmark — but there are over 300 ställplats spots.

May–September. July is the busiest, while June and August are much calmer.

Fastest via Vaasa–Umeå and the E4 to Malmö, then the Öresund bridge. Alternative: Stockholm–Copenhagen overnight ferry.
